Re: October 2025

It’ll probably just put temps near normal. I doubt it’ll be anything of significance. Right, upper 70s for highs...is the last GFS 2 meter I saw. I think we all collectively will take that. :) Realistically, we're hoping it's below 80°F for Halloween. That's normal. 80’s and even low 90’s are good ...

Re: October 2025

Agreement per Euro, CMC, GFS of a FROPA around the 20th. Canadian has the most enthusiasm. 10 long days until then. It’ll probably just put temps near normal. Re: October 2025

I will say this. I remember October 2004 ( my first year of marriage), it was abnormally hot. In fact, it is still the hottest October of all time. Halloween was brutal at 88 degrees. Ridges do happen, all the time. Eventually, the heat will be dislodged ( Meteorology 101, the earth/weather always ...

The persistent-PDO is a big reason why rain chances have been so inconsistent the past few years.

The record high for today was set back in 1938 at 97°F and tomorrow the record high was set back in 1994 at 95°F.

Re: September 2025

Only managed a quarter inch up in Georgetown yesterday. Most of the area didnt see anything. I've only gotten about an inch or so of rain since the July flood ended. Dry fall incoming I guess. It’s beautiful up there, but boy is the weather boring. Sucks to be a weather enthusiast and live up there.

I’ve picked up 1.20” altogether this week. No complaints here. Heard the coastal counties got hammered this morning though.

Re: September 2025

The new NWS forecast is getting hotter and drier. OTOH, they've been wrong so much this year... For several days now, I’ve been eagerly anticipating those 50% chances of rain for tomorrow. Oh wait… Neither today nor tomorrow look like much of a chance for anything. Maybe 20-30% at most. Still time ...

Re: Tropical Discussion 2025

In my 60+ years of tracking Texas weather, I can't recall a July through September that didn't have a named storm in the Gulf. And as would be expected the water is now boiling hot there. Very weird. One would have to expect that weather equilibrium will have to be achieved... hopefully not in some...

It would be nice to see some cooler weather. 8-)
You’ll have to wait till mid to late October for that, and even that might be pushing it.
