12z Euro trended a tad bit weaker with the high coming out of Canada. Down from 1049mb to 1047mb. Therefore temps came in a few degrees warmer than the 0z run.

The 12z Euro has lows in the mid to upper 20’s for next Sunday and Monday mornings for southeast TX. It also has highs on Sunday struggling to get out of the 30’s.

Tropical Tidbits is getting a run for their money with this site (probably becoming one of my favorites) But if you like cold, this is a great pattern shaping up for much of the U.S. (unless you're west of the Rockies). You get a cross-polar flow out of this set up and a bit more of an active STJ.....

The 12z Euro is now showing a pretty strong front coming through around the 19th/20th. Most likely would result in a freeze for most of the viewing area. That front could mark the beginning of a series of strong fronts. I don’t really see any normal or above normal temps after the 20th.

Well I see the 12z FV3 is back similar to what it was showing at 6z a few mornings ago. Massive blocking up north sending historic Artic blasts down south. This is the second time now the FV3 has shown this in the past 3 days.

I’m not really seeing anything on the models as far as cold and precip goes that has me excited yet. The FV3 GFS was trending in a great direction for that yesterday, but has kind of backed off from that the past couple runs. Looks like just a marginal shot for any cold air over the next couple week...

It’s curently 74 degrees here in Wharton..big warmups can sometimes be followed by big cool downs.

Looks like rain chances are decreasing now for this Friday into Saturday. Euro is basically crickets on rain through 10 days.

According to the models today, areas in the southern half of the state appear to have a pretty good chance of rain over the next couple weeks..especially south of I-10.
