Re: September 2023

Re: August 2023
Who thinks we have to kill ourselves? We can do meaningful, productive, and economical changes. What I dislike about this debate is one side believes it’s “let’s do nothing because other countries aren’t”. A 10% in reduction is still reduction. Do that enough times it becomes 100%. Change should ha...

Re: May 2023
I’m experiencing one of the craziest thunderstorms I’ve ever seen in League City right now. Hail, damaging winds, flooding. This is really wild.

I will say in the words of the great Joe Madden, “one team is going to win and the other is going to lose”. I hope the cold wintry weather team wins but we’ll see.

Ppl on 2k are already saying 57 was right lol get one bad run and the house falls down Classic, illogical thinking and reaction that is so dominant in society now. :) Wxman has always been the voice of reason in these scenarios. Its why I dont rush out for insulation until WXman 57 says its going t...

Re: December 2022
I’ve been here as long as a lot of folks. Since the earliest days at the other site. You’d think we’d learn our lesson by now. This is classic for models and the cold every time we have a cold season. Those that have been here can tell you how many times the models will shunt the cold air East. Dens...

Re: June 2022
I don’t post often but I’m always lurking. I just want to tell a lot of people to chill for a second. Most tropical systems when they move inland elongate and spread their rain shield out. You might end up with some rain before this ends. Where I’ve been today it has rained nearly all day and that’s...

Doesn’t seem to be drying up. We’re getting heavy rain right now in League City/Dickinson area. The radar doesn’t seem to be getting lighter either.

Re: August 2017: Tracking Harvey/Catastrophic Flooding/Torna
This has been absolutely insane. I watched the water rise into my home early Sunday morning. I called for evac but none ever came. Eventually after 7 hours of waiting I left on foot. I trekked about 2 miles through varying heights of water finally finding a national guard truck that took me to a sh...
