Re: February 2021: Arctic Outbreak/Winter Storm Warning ⚠️

LOL Just as predicted earlier on, per NWS, though we still have warnings and what-not, the official current forecast is not even remotely suggesting a "winter storm". If not for being disappointed this whole thing would be hilarious. What happened to the blizzard, you all? If the NWS is r...

Re: February 2021: Arctic Outbreak/Winter Wx Likely

My high temp today may end-up being colder than tonight’s forecast low. Think about that one... I haven't seen it get above 35-36 here in Katy so far but my weather channel hourly forecast keeps trying to force it up to 43 lol. I don't think either highs in the 40s for the weekend are going to come...

Re: February 2021: Arctic Outbreak/Winter Wx Likely

Woke up to 32* this morning when 37-38 was my predicted low. My weather channel ap seems to just be now casting as the temp has been colder by 5-10 degrees since the front got here.

Is it just my area or did a whole lot of dust blow in? All my clean cars are coated in a fine dust.

I tried finding this option but didn’t see it. The trolling is obvious. It makes the forum almost unreadable.

Re: August 2020: Tracking Laura

Watching the GOES-East it appears to be making a pretty definitive push for a northwest movement as it should. It could be a wobble making it look a bit more dramatic but i do believe its gonna start its gradual northwest path to the border. https://weather.msfc.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/basicLooper.pl?categ...

Re: August 2020: Tracking Laura

This is almost angering. Too early to make this call - from the Space City Weather guys - this may come back to haunt them: I think we can safely rule out a landfall near Freeport or the San Luis Pass, which would be the absolute worst case scenario for Houston and Galveston. However, a landfall an...

This is a really really strange storm... it’s been bubbling up over the same vicinity along hw6 for hours now. What is is the hrrr model showing it doing? Does it have any grasp?

Re: July 2020

How is the middle of that line weakening as it heads this way? How the heck and why? We are at peak heating. No pesky outflow outrunning the convection (yet). That line should be filling-in right now, not falling apart. 🤦‍♂️ I fully expected to check the radar and see a really solid line heading th...

I feel like its been way too early to call this anybodies storm. There's too many steering currents in play and this thing isn't even back out over water yet.

First I’ve seen this. I wasn’t paying much attention because rain chances were near 0 for this weekend but I just checked and it’s 60%. What changed?

It’s been raining pretty hard here for about an hour and a half. Looks like .75 so far. Had a lightning bolt hit the street light outside. I know my parents place was in need of rain in central west Austin county and they are getting a good training rain as well right now.

I still have hope being in far northwest Cypress but every model busted big time on this one so far. Timing is way off, today was supposed to be storms all afternoon into the evening and here we are with a radar that’s about 10 hours behind the models. Hopefully it comes together and pushes into th...
