Re: May 2025

June starts in a couple days. Anyone want to take a shot towards how summer will be? I am thinking the ridge stays nearby enough to deflect any tropical activity away, but that is all about timing and strength at that time. Hopefully a more active seabreeze than in recent years too. I will take that.

Looks like a wrap for today and also starting next week a heat ridge sets up shop over the area. Summer pattern is awaiting!

Re: January 2025

How about a pot of gumbo to get things going? I am hoping to see at least an inch and a good shot of it too. It isnt 7 + like previously modeled, but it is what it is here in Spring. It could be all cold rain like last time.

Re: January 2025

Yeah I like that map too! Seems like the past 2 coastal lows overperformed rain wise so it should be interesting to see the heavy bands.

Re: January 2025

The 18 gfs has a fairly sharp cutoff northern Harris to the north with only about an inch or so in Northern Harris.

Re: January 2025

The 12z gfs doesn't look bad for your Austin area and Houston either. There is still a great shot up there.
