Re: January 2021

Looks like Lake Charles can see what comes from southeast Texas and surrounding areas on the LCH radar again since repairs are finished from Hurricane Laura. Good thing ahead of storm season and the next hurricane season.

As bad as it was it could have been worse. What if Beta hit our area as a hurricane then rode the coast? Laura if it followed the western model/ensembles and hit Hou as a 4/5? New Orleans was the target several times in modeling too for the hurricanes.

Re: January 2021

Keep an eye on bright banding radar returns indicating sleet and or melting snow not far from the surface. Magnolia is not too far from my Klein area!

Re: January 2021

Nobody wants to put all of their bets into following 1 model so that map for now is the most likely scenario.

Re: January 2021

The NAM looks much better now. Back to what it showed early yesterday. Trending right. Seems like not having Montgomery county in the watch is hedging bets towards the lackluster gfs model.

Re: January 2021

The 18 and 12z NAM sure did look better than the 0z. Even College Station is on the edge of it.

Re: January 2021

I would cash out now on the CMC model! Would be worth going a little bit out of the way to see that!
