Re: April 2024

Some small cells are trying to form off the inflow to that tornadic supercell near Franklin. Better be careful what I wish for!

That cell moving toward Hillsborough looks really nasty.

Re: April 2024

The late fall and winter had more sunny day, and more normal temps. We had been seeing warmer falls and cool Februaries. This year we had a cool January in CLL but more sunny days overall yet more rain. The Spring has had more days of socked in with clouds, including getting eclipsed. Consistent wit...

2023 Heat Risk NOAA IAH Yeah - see that 110°F bar? We hovered around there or above for weeks. I know this isn't directly April-related, per se, but I don't think anyone is surprised a bit by this...... https://i.postimg.cc/0jT8bg1y/AA1nsk8S.gif Ironic when your lifeline is the tropics.

Re: April 2024

An amazing 4.15 inches up here in the NW territories. That's the most rain from an event that we've had in years. Going back into my weather log...on December 27, 2018 we had 4.23 inches of rain. I may have missed something. My logkeeping became sketchy in late 2020-2022 during COVID. An absolutely...

The boundaries still have their act together. I see a potential hail core. We receive the colder blast before the rain as well.

No worries - you all will have more wins from late May - September. It's a gullywasher up in CLL. We just barely made it back from HEB and the Rx before the 2 inch/hour stuff came down. There was some road ponding and I'd expect some local flooding. 0.00 for all of 2023 May - September Not any bett...

Spicy up in B/CS area… Chipotle style. There was quite a bit of lightning. Maybe this will put it out. 2.98 inches of rain IMFY so far. This has to be the most rain in CLL from a storm system since May 2023. Maybe before. Flood Advisory issued April 20 at 7:19PM CDT until April 20 at 10:15PM CDT by...
