Re: July 2024
Just now from Lindner. “Port O Connor has recently gusted to 52mph and Matagorda Channel to 51mph in association with the meso low east of Rockport. Gusty winds will spread toward the Palacios and Matagorda/Sargent areas over the next several hours.” Yeah, we're getting almost tropical rain in that...

Re: July 2024
At the very least, it’s July 24 and high temps are barely into the 80’s and no flooding for my neck of the woods in League City. I’ll take that every damn day. 88°F in College Station. Cloudy. My grass and trees are actually green. The sprinklers are off. I'll take this for the remainder of the sum...

Re: July 2024
It's been raining moderate to heavy on and off here for the past few days. There a lot of standing water, and mosquitoes of course. Similar here. We've had 2.72 inches over the last two days. That brings us to a whopping 8.95 inches for July. A "personal best" for July rain in CLL. There a...

Re: July 2024
1.66 inches total. Some cells are waning, but a pretty good effort for day 1. Rain chance are 40-80% for another solid week.
Smoke 'em if you got 'em. I do have to dump some standing water and hose down with DEET.

Re: July 2024
1.38 inches so far. That's 7.5 inches of rain for July. The most I've every seen in CLL? There may have been a year with a tropical system...but I don't think so. Checking my personal records: 7.3 inches in 2014 was the next highest rainfall for this month. Usually, July provide 2-3 inches or less o...

Those drier northerly breezes are paying off with DP's in the 60s. The slightest taste of Fall in late July.

We're never this green late in July. 87°F and north breeze. This is North Carolina "summer" weather. More please! Rain and some 80s on tap for next week. Coincidentally, North Carolina is having a Texas Summer this year. Lol Idk about that. They’ve been getting scattered storms there each...

Let's Go.
Relief may on its way a little early as showers descend into the Brazos Valley and SETX. They'll probably run out of steam as daytime heating wanes, but unstable, moist air is moving in

Re: July 2024
, I still think models are largely underestimating rainfall potential across se texas with the front becoming stationary , will need to watch flooding potential heading forwards, this is the kind of pattern that could bring that for sure I would not be surprised. Stalled cold front regardless of se...
