Largely a bust here, but an impressive outflow boundary as intense cells collapsed. A DP of 67°F with the breeze never felt so refreshing.
The rivers are flooded enough, so losing out on rain is no biggie.
The line may reform as the showers head towards Houston.

Re: May 2024
The forecast models are all over the place in rain amount and where it will happen. I have seen them get amount correct, but not the location. Trends have been wetter and warmer - I was hoping for 2-3 days of cooler weather. It looks like FROPA goes retrograde during the weekend undercutting our hi...

Dewpoint of 76°F. Nasty!
We should have DPs in the upper 50s in a couple of days - Thursday evening with a real live FROPA.

Re: May 2024
The transition from La Nina to El Nino in June 2023 really shut down rain in CLL and turned this place into a blast furnace. Even the crawfish suffered terribly. Up here soggy conditions in the Spring could bode well temperature-wise for the summer. We'll see. We will have a greater chance of tropic...

30.72 inches of rain for the year. While we won't see probably half of 90 inches in CLL for the year...but what an amazing pace for the first 1/3 of 2024.

Flooding on Rock Prairie Road east of CLL near a creek that feeds into the Navasota and then Brazos River. Look for cresting downstream, folks. Hopefully Brazos, Trinity, and San Jacinto Rivers don't add even more to Houston's woes.
Turn around. Don't drown!

Re: May 2024
Pretty big difference once again between the Euro and GFS. Euro says more rain is on the way and GFS not so much. I'm in Euro's corner for this round.... The Euro has been far more accurate of the models and HRRR hasn't been bad on the mesos. The transition from La Niña to El Niño sees to be allowi...

Re: May 2024
It's that angle from the Gulf since most of the prevailing mid and upper level air is SW to NE or West to East. For example, Corpus Christi is right on the Gulf Coast but only receives about 32 inches of rain a year. They are closer to the SW cap and Mexican air squashing rain chances. The dry line...
